AVOID SICKNESS WITH SALAD AND VITAMINSAs a time benchmark I moved into my current apartment three years ago, November, 2007. Because my mother, doctor Jaquelyn McCandless had me shipping vitamins for a job I had access to a good quality multi-vitamin. Also I was looking for an easy and healthy lunch I don’t have to think too much about, so I decided to make a basic salad, red tip lettuce, spinach, tomato’s, and small can of tuna poured on top with some Newman’s Own Olive Oil and Vinegar dressing. I have had this for lunch every day when I am home, except maybe some canned soup occasionally. I eat other varied regular food for breakfast and dinner, cereal, meat and potatoes, rice, bread, etc., and I take two Thorne brand multi vitamins with each meal. Before those three years my whole life I would likely get at least one cold, or flu, or sore throat a year, and often got one of these two or three times a year. In the last three years I have been eating that salad for lunch and taking the multi vitamins with each meal I have not got sick once. Not one cold, flu, diarrhea, fever, sore throat, not even once. I got a few times when I sinned (doing something wrong) what felt like a start to one of these dreaded sickness. You know, that tickling, or maybe a loss of energy, indicating I might be coming down with something, but I repented (took the hint and stopped what I was doing) and it went away before the sickness actually developed. Friends, that is no less than remarkable, and you can be sure I will continue the salad and vitamins with each meal. And repenting! It should be noted I almost never ate fast food during that time, maybe KFC or Subway once or twice is about it. Also I never drink soda, but I do eat sugary deserts like chocolate bars, cookies, etc. and I drink coffee and tea. I quit alcohol about two years into the three due to a pain in my guts, but God ordered and punished me to help me because I failed to do the right thing on my own. Thanks to God.
